- Remove all clothes and hangers from the laundry rack.
- Ensure there is no weight remaining on the rack.
What Happens If I Overload My PRISM+ Solaris / Solaris Pro Laundry Rack?
Your PRISM+ Solaris and Solaris Pro Laundry Rack are equipped with a built-in Overload Protection feature.
If the laundry rack detects that the load exceeds its maximum supported weight, it will automatically stop operating to protect the motor and lifting mechanism.
In most cases, simply removing some of the load will allow the rack to operate normally again.
Maximum Load Capacity
| Model | Maximum Supported Load |
|---|---|
| Solaris / Solaris XL | 40 kg |
| Solaris Pro / Solaris Pro XL | 50 kg |
Important: The total weight includes clothes, hangers, bedsheets, towels, and any other items hanging on the rack.
What Should I Do If I Overloaded the Laundry Rack?
Step 1: Remove Some Laundry
Reduce the load until it is within the recommended weight limit.
Step 2: Try Operating the Rack Again
Press the UP button on the remote control or use the PRISM+ Connect App.
If the rack moves normally, continue using it as usual.
The Rack Still Won't Go Up After Removing the Laundry
If the laundry rack still cannot retract after removing the load, it's usually because the internal lifting cable has become loose due to the overload.
This is normal and can usually be resolved by restoring tension to the lifting cable.
Steps
- 1
- 2
Using both hands, apply gentle downward pressure on the laundry rack.
This creates temporary tension on the lifting cable, allowing the internal wire to tighten correctly.
Note: Only apply light downward pressure. Do not use excessive force.
- 3
While maintaining slight downward pressure:
- Press the UP button on the remote control, or
- Press UP using the PRISM+ Connect App.
The laundry rack should begin retracting once cable tension has been restored.
- 4
Once the rack has fully retracted:
- Lower the rack again.
- Raise it once more without any laundry.
- Ensure it moves smoothly before hanging clothes again.
How to Prevent This From Happening Again?
To keep your laundry rack operating smoothly:
- Stay within the recommended weight limit.
- Distribute clothes evenly across the hanging rods.
- Avoid placing all heavy items on one side.
- Wash and dry bulky items in separate loads where possible.
