My Digital Lock Battery Has Run Out? How Can I Unlock My Door?

PRISM+ Support teamUpdated 13 July 2026~2 min remaining2 steps

Don't worry! A depleted battery does not mean you are permanently locked out.

Most PRISM+ Digital Locks are equipped with an emergency power supply feature that allows you to temporarily power the lock and gain access to your home.

How Do I Know the Battery Is Running Low?

Your digital lock will typically provide advance warning before the batteries are fully depleted.

Common indicators include:

  • Low battery warning sounds
  • Flashing battery indicator lights
  • Voice prompts or notifications
  • Mobile app alerts (for supported models)

We recommend replacing the batteries once a low-battery warning appears.

Battery Replacement Tips

To ensure reliable operation:

Replace all batteries at the same time

Use high-quality alkaline batteries

Do not mix old and new batteries

Some digital lock models include a backup mechanical key.

If your lock model supports this feature:

    1. Locate the keyhole on the lock.
    2. Insert the mechanical key.
    3. Unlock the door manually.

Refer to your lock's user guide for the exact keyhole location.
