How Does QD Mini-LED Work?
- Mini-LED backlight: Thousands of ultra-small LEDs are arranged in zones, allowing very fine local dimming. This means bright areas can reach extremely high peak brightness while dark areas stay deep and shadowed, greatly improving contrast.
- Quantum Dot film: A layer of nanocrystals sits between the backlight and LCD panel, converting blue LED light into highly pure reds and greens. Because each dot’s size dictates its wavelength, the display achieves a much wider color gamut and more accurate color reproduction.
Together, QD Mini-LED produces brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and more vibrant, lifelike colors than conventional LCDs, while offering higher brightness and durability.
