A Chemical Servicing (or Chemical Overhaul) is a deep-cleaning service that uses specialised cleaning solutions to remove stubborn dirt, dust, grease, and mould from your air conditioner's internal components.
Unlike regular servicing, chemical servicing is only recommended when there is significant buildup affecting the unit's performance.
When Is Chemical Servicing Recommended?
A chemical servicing may be required if:
- Your air conditioner has not been serviced for an extended period
- Cooling performance has noticeably decreased
- Airflow is weaker than usual
- You notice unpleasant or musty odours
- There is visible mould, dirt, or heavy buildup inside the unit
- The air conditioner is used heavily on a daily basis
Do I Need Chemical Servicing Every Year?
Not necessarily.
The need for chemical servicing depends on the condition and usage of your air conditioner. While some heavily used units may benefit from annual chemical servicing, many units only require it when excessive dirt or mould buildup is identified.
How Will I Know If My Air Conditioner Needs One?
A PRISM+ technician will assess your air conditioner during servicing and advise whether a chemical servicing is necessary.
Take Note: Chemical overhauls are only recommended when required and are not part of routine maintenance.
